Tell us more about your role in Solarpro
As a Managing Director in Solarpro Polska I am involved in every sphere related to the company’s operations, i.e. building, developing and managing the team and managing projects in their various phases. Managing finances and ensuring proper cash flow in the company is leading part of my scope of responsibilities. Cash flow is like the lifeblood of our company and allows us to meet our goals, it requires full commitment and constant contact with the team.

How does an average day on the job look like for you?
I start the day by checking my e-mail and if I don’t have urgent tasks to do, I follow my weekly plan. Every day I talk briefly with the team to get to know the status of the projects. I very often participate in meetings with our clients and contractors. I often plan short-term and long-term activities to increase the success of our company.

What’s the most important skill to bring to your position?
The key is the ability to prioritize critical tasks correctly which allows me to effectively manage the organization’s resources.

What are the typical challenges you face in your role?
Today, when the market of renewable energy sources is so dynamic, managing all processes in a company means balancing between constant change while still achieving appropriate results. Achieving the planned result sometimes can be a challenge, but it is a matter of good planning.

Why did you choose solar energy? What motivates you to work within the renewable sector?
Solar energy is one of the cleanest renewable energy resources. It is a market that is currently developing very quickly in Poland, it has a huge potential, which allows me to fulfill myself professionally and gives great opportunities for individual development.

What are your interests outside of work?
The same as at work – I am reaching the highest goals which means I am hiking in the highest Polish mountains Tatry. Long hiking trips help me to charge the batteries and come back to work with good energy.

How and when did you start working in Solarpro?
I started working at Solarpro back in 2019, this was the company that allowed me to enter the renewable energy market. For a while I left and worked for a leading investor on the Polish renewable energy market, where I managed to gain valuable experience. In May 2022, I rejoined Solarpro because of the great development opportunities for me and the company.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start a job in renewables?
To start working in renewables is very much like climbing mountains – there are constant ups and downs and unexpected turns on the way, but once you get on top of it – the view of a work well done is truly breathtaking and you’re left with an immense feeling of fulfillment and making a change.

So my advice would be – take chances, go for the highs even if it looks scary, the view is very much worth it.
