“The Battery Energy Storage Systems are the key to finding the correct solutions to shift PV plant production”, shared Iva Draganovska, PhD, Solarpro’s Commercial Manager & Head of O&M, in the panel discussion “Integrating Storage in the Energy Mix” at Energy Summit 2024 held on February 22 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She highlighted that hybrid power plants (PV+ BESS) equipped with Energy Management Systems, also known as hybrid controllers, can charge in both directions from the PV plant and the Grid and discharge to the Grid the entire system, enabling the flexibility necessary to meet the investors’ requirements and ensure a consistent revenue stream from electricity sales.
